TripAdvisor: Puerto Vallarta Mexico's Best Destination

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel website, just released the results of their Travelers Choice Awards, and Puerto Vallarta has been voted "Best Destination in Mexico."
Our city and the surrounding area has always been a popular visitor destination due to the beauty of the Sierra Madre Mountains and beaches along Banderas Bay. It also offers lodging options ranging from 5-star resorts, to beachfront vacation rentals, to eco-hotels.
Besides its beautiful beaches, Vallarta also offers activities like cooking classes, whale watching, walking tours, adventure tourism, and much, much more. These are just a few of the things that make our destination perfect for families, romantic get-aways, or fun vacations with friends.
Playa del Carmen and Cabo San Lucas followed Puerto Vallarta in the TripAdvisor Travelers Choice Awards, while Mexico City, Cancun, Oaxaca, Mazatlan, Akumal, Merida, and Ixtapa Zihuatanejo complete the Top 10.
In the "Best Beach Destination in Mexico" category, Puerto Vallarta ranked ninth with the first three mentions going to Tulum, Cancun, and Playa del Carmen in Quintana Roo.
